Dear Fellow BNI Members,
I have been in BNI almost 20 years – it’s been a huge part of my life – almost a third of my life, and I have loved every minute of it, but the time has come, for my mental and physical health, to make some personal changes, so I won’t be renewing.
However, I want everyone to know – I love BNI – it’s a great way to network – the BEST way, in my opinion. BNI has served me well – the business I’ve given & gotten over the years, the connections, and the friendships I’ve made are cherished & will never be forgotten. So this has been a very hard decision, a tough decision – it’s bittersweet, and makes me sad.
If you know me, you know I need to share advice that served me well throughout my BNI years. No matter what position you hold in BNI – no matter what – NO position is minor, even if you’re announcing the leadership team. Go for it and be the BEST – make it spice – no matter what – it’s crucial for the growth of the chapter. Think about it – if you were a visitor – wouldn’t you want to be a part of that?
*I served in every position in our BNI Mid-County Connectors chapter – many of them multiple times – and in no particular order. I considered no position to be too small or too low – they’re all important.
So you know, I’m not retiring. If you need me, I’m still here – doing website designs and probably doing them from the beach more often – where I am more often these days.
Today will be my last meeting, but maybe you can include me for a social event some time. I’d love that.
In parting, it’s not goodbye – it’s see u later.
