Easy to Mail

Easy to Mail is our newest utility that provides the following capabilities:

Convert spooled files to common pc formats such as MS Word, HTML documents, PDF and Text files.

Create Excel spreadsheets from any database file.

Send emails from your AS400 to multiple recipients with file attachments.

Send emails to all or selected members for promotions, guides and more…

Build email templates such as birthday cards that act like mail merge documents so that information like member name can be shown.

These capabilities are provided through the use of commands.  The commands being provided may be used in your own custom applications to build automatic distributions of reports and files through email.  

CVTSPLSTMF - Converts spooled files to pc formats
CREATEXLS - Create a spreadsheet from any database file
SNDEML - Send an email. This command may also be used to email the output of the CVTSPLSTMF and CREAETXLS commands.

  • Any iSeries file can be translated into an excel format.
  • Email the translated excel formatted file.
  • Eliminates the need for 3^rd party software like Compleo or Formula One.

• Create common PC documents from an iSeries spool file

  • Bookmarks built into the PDF document (Ex: Branches, Programs, etc.)
